Paederus cruenticollis, Whiplash rove beetle - Finch Hatton bug - toxic secretions, found in Central Queensland, Australia. The toxic secretions cause a linear whiplash streak, a red rash in 12 hours which then blisters and becomes itchy after 7 days. Treat with a soothing cream and beware of secondary infections after the blister breaks.
